EN 10216-2 P235gh carbon steel pipe
Sa179 tubes is a leading manufacturer of high-quality EN 10216-2 P235H Carbon Steel Pipes. These pipes are specified for use in boilers, pressure vessels, and heat exchangers due to their ability to withstand high temperatures. P235GH is a type of normalized carbon alloy steel, making it ideal for the gas, oil, and petrochemical industries. The composition includes up to 0.30% Chromium and 0.08% Molybdenum, which enhances its durability under high pressure and temperature conditions. These seamless carbon steel tubes undergo heat treatments like full annealing, isothermal annealing, normalizing, quenching, and tempering to improve their mechanical properties.
EN 10216-2 P235GH is part of the EN 10028 system and is similar to P265GH but has a lower carbon content and higher manganese content. This steel grade has lower yield and tensile strength compared to P265GH, giving it higher ductility. It has good cold and hot working characteristics, making it suitable for transporting hot liquids. The pipes are available in diameters from 21.3 mm to 660 mm with wall thicknesses up to 100 mm for hot rolling, and diameters from 10.2 mm to 108 mm with wall thicknesses up to 12.5 mm for cold drawing. They are manufactured to meet TC1 (I requirement level) and TC2 (III requirement level) standards according to PN-EN 10216-2.

FAQ
BS EN 10216-2 P235GH is a European standard grade for seamless steel tubes, used in high-temperature applications like steam boilers, pipelines, pressure vessels, and apparatus engineering, especially in chemical and power industries.
EN 10216-2 material refers to a European standard for seamless steel tubes made from carbon and low-alloy steel grades. These tubes, including Grade P235GH, are designed to withstand high pressure and temperatures, with a composition including up to 0.30% Chromium and 0.08% Molybdenum.
EN 10216-2 pipes range in outer diameters from 10.2 mm to 711 mm, with wall thicknesses from 1.6 mm to 100 mm. They are available in schedules ranging from sch5 to XXS, with custom thicknesses available upon request.
